What is Jelly?

Well, it isn’t just a pop-up office!  Jelly Liverpool is a community of diversely skilled co-workers that meet to work in a relaxed and friendly environment at different sponsor venues across Liverpool city-centre for a weekly co-working event.  We enjoy the company of like-minded people and thrive in an environment that fosters growth of all attendees.  With knowledge sharing and social chit-chat encouraged, except during the Power Hour – which we seem to have every fifteen minutes.

Jelly Liverpool enables attendees to escape their normal working environment, be that the spare room, rented desk-space or usual café and join in what has become “The” co-working event that enables people to make new contacts in an informal way whilst still allowing them to work on their deadlines and maintain productivity.  You can pop in for an hour or two or come work for the full day, there are no expectations.

Where did it start?

Jelly started in NYC in February of 2006 when room-mates Amit and Luke realized that they loved working from home, but they missed the creative brainstorming, sharing, and camaraderie of a traditional office.

So, they started inviting friends to come work from their home one day a week.  They soon found that working in close proximity to new and interesting people every fortnight resulted in new ideas and interesting conversations.  Emboldened by their early success, they made it a more regular thing.  Jelly was born.

Come one and join the ‘happening set’ in Liverpool for a day of co-working at the next event.

What do I need to bring?

Just your own laptop, or whatever you need to get your work done, a friendly disposition and a smile.

Who can come to Jelly?  Anyone!

We see a lot of developers and internet types.  Some would class themselves as entrepreneurs or freelancers, others work in an office most of the time, but work at Jelly for fresh ideas and a change of pace.  We're always happy to see to those in the creative and digital industries across Merseyside, but anyone who works remotely or independently are made very welcome at Jelly.

It's surprising how often new visitors tell us they've come along to Jelly because a friend or colleague had enjoyed the experience.  So, a massive Thank You to all those that have spread the word over the years.

No matter what you do or what you create, you're welcome to come to Jelly and share your talent and learn from others.
