Events coming up at Sensor City

As we’ve been using Sensor City as an awesome venue for our Freelancer meetups for over a year now, we thought we would share with you some of the other activities that they have taking place there for StartUps working on the Tech sphere.

  • AWS User Group meet-up: Tuesday 22nd January, 6pm – 9pm, Sensor City
    Our fast-track Business Growth competition will be launched at this event to help small businesses scale, boost competitive advantage and innovative capabilities. Topics discussed will also include the technical aspects of Amazon Web Services (AWS) feature use and implementation, and real-world use cases.

  • IET Technical Visit to Sensor City: Wednesday 23rd January, 5:30pm – 7:30pm, Sensor City
    This technical visit – open to both IET members and non-IET members – will enable participants to see first-hand how Sensor City is helping partners to capitalise on the growing sensor revolution and to hear directly from those who have been helping SMEs to develop concepts into prototypes with speed and accuracy. CPD=2 hours.

  • IoT Security Consultations: Tuesday 29th January, 9am – 5pm, Sensor City
    Ensure your IoT connected device is secure by booking a free, 1 hour private consultation with cyber security and data experts Gemserv. Hourly slots are bookable throughout the day and will benefit innovators and start-ups by providing advice and support around IoT technology and security to help develop a long term sustainable business.

  • Digital Skills Training: Wednesday 30th January, 1:30pm – 5pm, Sensor City
    The Digital Skills Training Programme by Facebook and Free Formers, in partnership with The Extraordinary Club & Agent Academy, focuses on enabling 18-30 year olds to develop the confidence and the skills they may need for future employment in a digital economy, and provide them with a Facebook Digital Training Certificate on completion of the session.

  • IP Strategy and Valuation Advice: Tuesday 12th February, 12pm – 2pm, Sensor City
    This free lunchtime event, run by Coller IP, will offer strategic and practical IP advice covering Intellectual Property, Intellectual Assets and Intellectual Capital, and is open to all companies from start-ups to corporates. Following the group presentation, there will be the opportunity for 1-to-1 consultations with an IP expert.
